The children's author David Walliams parted ways with longtime publisher.
Prolific young adult author and comedian David Walliams is no longer with his UK book publisher, as confirmed by the firm.
A representative for the firm said: "Following a thorough review, and under the leadership of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing future works by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the decision was reached following an inquiry regarding allegations of inappropriate behaviour towards women.
The publisher has not elaborated on the motivations for this action, stating: "We refrain from speaking about internal matters."
A Prolific Publishing History
Walliams stands as a most prolific writers for young readers, boasting over more than 60 million copies globally in five dozen languages.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
A number of his titles, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into TV movies.
To date, he has released more than 40 books altogether, encompassing a Christmas book titled *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins in October.
Television and Literature
His initial claim to fame came on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE several years ago honoring his contributions to philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
The publisher's decision comes after the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss this past October.
