Lionesses forward Michelle Agyemang, darts player Luke Littler and batswoman Davina Perrin have been selected as contenders for the upcoming Young Sports Personality of the Year award.

These three athletes have been honoured for their outstanding achievements over the previous year.

Agyemang helped the Lionesses secure Euro 2025, Littler claimed the world title for the maiden time, and Perrin surged to prominence with a historic innings.

Littler claimed this honour in 2024 after his sensational debut year.

The finalists were revealed during a live broadcast on a popular morning radio program.

The champion will be revealed live on the prestigious sports ceremony show on December 18th.

The ceremony will be broadcast from seven in the evening GMT.

Michelle Agyemang

Age: 19 Sport: Football

A mere three months after her senior team debut, Agyemang played a crucial and game-changing role in England's run to winning the Euros.

She was introduced as a substitute to score crucial late equalisers in both the knockout stage games.

Agyemang's stunning interventions led to her being named Young Player of the Tournament.

Later in the year, she was awarded the Golden Girl trophy for the best young player in Europe.

She was also nominated for the Kopa Trophy for the world's best under-21 female player.

Agyemang, who has been at Brighton in a temporary move from Arsenal, suffered an ACL injury in October.

"To be named a finalist for this honour is an honour," said Agyemang. "I thank God and I'm thankful for the support I've received from my loved ones, mentors, colleagues and supporters."

The Darts Prodigy

Age: 18 Sport: Darts

The year started for Littler in incredible form as - while still 17 - he became the earliest-ever winner in history.

He secured a dominant victory over Michael van Gerwen in the final.

His follow-up triumph at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth individual to complete the prestigious three major tournament wins.

And he wasn't finished there - his win in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he climbed to world number one for the maiden occasion.

At 18, he is the most youthful player to do so, breaking the previous record.

"Being nominated for the honour once more is a huge privilege," stated Littler. "Winning last year was a special memory for me and I've had another incredible 12 months. I want to continue raising the profile of darts."

Davina Perrin

Age: 19 Sport: Cricket

Perrin is one of English cricket's most exciting young talents and rose to fame with an extraordinary and record-breaking innings in August.

Her brilliant 42-ball century in The Hundred is the quickest ever by an English female in T20s.

It also stands as the joint third-fastest women's T20 century in a major league or full member T20 international.

Perrin finished second in the batting rankings and was named the young player of the year by the PCA.

"I'm incredibly grateful to be named a finalist for the Young Sports Personality of the Year award," expressed Perrin. "It means a great deal. I hope it motivates more girls to get into cricket."
